Something that perhaps shouldn't bother me as much as it does.
The organization of data in what is genuinely likely to be the final form of my dissertation is identical to what I proposed almost three years ago. In the future, I will be listening to advice selectively.

This happened to me, too. I think it's what they call "part of the process." After this is all over, of course, you don't have to listen much to people's advice at all. That's the whole point, right?!
